Adv Zwelakhe Mokatsane is a graduate of the University of Johannesburg, where he obtained both his BA and LLB degrees. He also obtained a certificate in practical legal training at the University of Pretoria, School for Legal Practice in 2016. He is currently registered for a certificate in Cerebral Palsy with the South African Medico-Legal Association which is in partnership with the University of Cape Town and will be graduating in 2020.
In 2007 he completed his military training with the South African Navy (naval warfare branch of the South African National Defence Force). At University, Adv Mokatsane was elected as the Chairperson of the then Student Town residence – now known as the Thomas Sankara residence, comprising of over 200 post-graduate students.
Adv Mokatsane is a member of the Johannesburg Society of Advocates.

Recent Practice History
Adv Mokatsane has been involved in various cases in the High Court and in the Regional Court. He has recently handled cases ranging from unlawful arrest, correctional service matters, Road Accident Fund matters, matters for the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa, and medical negligence matters. He regularly furnishes legal opinions to both the State and individuals.
